Scottsdale might be a desert city, but it is far from barren and desolate. Scottsdale is located in the Greater Phoenix area of Arizona. It is home to more than 250,000 residents, and it draws thousands of visitors each year. One of Scottsdale’s appealing attributes is its climate, which is characterized by warm, sunny days most of the year. Situated near the Sonoran Desert, it is also a city of exceptional natural beauty and property to sell home for cash.

As a progressive metropolitan area, Scottsdale is also home to some of the top schools in the state. These attributes, combined with its vibrant economy and affluence, make Scottsdale a consistently rated a “best place to live in the US.” Among all US cities, it ranks within the top 10 for luxury real estate. With in-demand housing, jobs, and a vibrant downtown center, Scottsdale is naturally a great place to lease an apartment with your family.

Scottsdale is located in Maricopa County. It was settled in the 1800s and has been incorporated since the mid-1900s. However, its urban landscape has changed tremendously since its incorporation. In 1951, the city had a population size only a fraction of what it is today (2,000 residents).

Scottsdale strikes a fine balance of having a progressive nature while simultaneously honoring its past and its Western roots. With a slogan of the “West’s Most Western Town,” you get a sense for the prominent role that history holds in this Arizona city. Each year, it hosts one of the largest rodeos in the country. Scottsdale also has an Old Town section that contains original streets, restaurants, bars, art galleries, and vintage stores.

Along with its attention to history, there is plenty of innovation alongside Scottsdale’s historical attractions. The city is home to a research center for Arizona State University and the legendary “Motor Mile,” which is a segment of McDowell Road packed with car dealerships. Now, the economy is supported heavily by a number of research and development corporations that are continuing to move into the area. While Scottsdale is a popular place to live, it is also a popular place to visit, as evidenced by the fact that it is tied for fourth place (along with Atlanta, GA) for the number of AAA five-star resorts and hotels within its borders. Scottsdale also has a branch of the world-renowned Mayo Clinic, making it a top destination for medical care as well. Also known for its internationally-ranked golf courses, Scottsdale has something for everyone.
